Ancient volcanic activity in this region left our soil perfect for growing crops that do best
with warm days, cool nights and very little humidity. This along with our attention to our
vines is the reason we feel confident in saying Verso is Colorado's finest 100 percent
cabernet sauvignon. We realize it's a bold statement and leaves us open to comparison,
but we believe this and invite your comments and reactions.
Our wine is the result of carefully matched rootstock, soil, dense spacing, vertical training
and canopy management. We've employed a full micro spray irrigation system and follow
the practice of dropping excess fruit. We don't believe in the practice of mixing other
'taming' grapes with our cabernet sauvignon grapes to get our flavor. It's our six different
cabernet sauvignon clones that we grow, mix and blend that make our wine so
distinctive. You might say our flavor is blended via vines.
